How long have you been on DeviantArt? About 7 years.
What does your username mean? When I was in my teens I came to admire really chill characters and used names like "coolnap" and "relaxin" because, like most teens, subtlety wasn't my strong point.
Describe yourself in three words. Contradictory, Sarcastic, Lustful.
Are you left or right handed? Righty tighty son!
What was your first deviation? This really crummy one panel comic that feature an OC of mine and Sonic the Hedgehog. The comic was a response to when I rented the game Sonic Riders and how I was so garbage at it that I might as well have crippled Sonic by the end of it.
What is your favourite type of art to create? Nowadays I prefer to work on 3D models. Sometimes I still draw, but my artist block tends to ruin my motivation.
If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be? That is a tough one because nowadays I am into so many artists that have their own unique style. But I guess I would want to learn how to produce art like GENZOMAN or el-grimlock.
What was your first favourite? According to my archives it was a chart that displayed the multiple ways to throw up the devil horns. Heavy Metal Satan Fingers it was called.
What type of art do you tend to favourite the most? A lot of Digital Art, but almost anything I favorite nowadays just reeks of personality and/or artistic skill.
Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist? Way to put me on the freaking spot! Uh... well if it's based on artistic skill I guess it would be GENZOMAN, but if it's based on who I like as a person I would go with Gannadene aka Plague of Gripes.
If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be? FFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUU- with these questions! Gannadene probably, even though he would just complain about nothing for a few hours I would love to just meet him in person or shake his hand.
How has a fellow deviant impacted your life? A few have impacted my life: nancher was the first great artist to ever talk to me on here; Kite-ridE and Rimfrost and BlackSen showed me early on how much character, movement, and humor you could get out of simple designs and drawings; GENZOMAN, el-grimlock, and Mikeinel showed me a level of skill that I hoped to one day achieve; and ChadRocco and Gannadene encouraged me and hundreds of their fans to keep working at their craft and pursue their goals in both art and life.
What are your preferred tools to create art? For 2D work I like to work traditionally with a pencil and paper then scan the art and clean it up digitally with Photoshop, GIMP, or whatever alternative I might be using. For 3D I have taken a liking to 3DS Max and I try to learn programs like Maya, Mudbox, and Zbrush.
What is the most inspirational place for you to create art? Never thought about that... I guess I like creating art away from home, preferably in an environment with other artists. (As long as they don't hover over my shoulder as I work.)
What is your favourite DeviantArt memory? The one and only time I was ever commissioned to create something. I had created a comic about this guy I knew named Sockman who was kind of crazy. I made a comic about him yelling at a child and this random dude, Hepherix-Chrome, asked me to make another one featuring Sockman. I did and he said he loved it. At that time I got a glimpse at what it was like to be an artist with fans and it felt great.
